Jennifer Lopez Gets Loud in Her First Onstage Appearance Amid Ben Affleck Divorce

Jennifer Lopez knows how to dance the night away in style.
Nearly three months after the "Jenny From the Block" singer filed for divorce from ex Ben Affleck, she dazzled while performing at the 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab event Nov. 13.
As models made their way down the catwalk at the fashion show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Jennifer performed a medley of her most iconic songs, including "Una Noche Más," "On The Floor" and "Let's Get Loud."
Her routine wouldn't be complete without a medley of costumes, either. After all, the 55-year-old began in a sparkling ensemble that featured a shimmering fringe cape, which she swapped out for a white feathery cloak that her dancers were sure to show off as she posed. However, she opted to complete the number without the overlay, tossing the coat to the side.
The fashion show—which also included performances from Céline Dion and Camila Cabello—was Jennifer's first time onstage since filing for divorce from the Justice League star in August. And while Ben has yet to speak on their split after two years of marriage, she recently reflected on her life since the decision, which includes working on herself.
"The work is figuring yourself out," she explained to Interview magazine last month. "It's looking back at the feelings underneath and the belief systems that we have about ourselves that make us make certain choices and create certain patterns in our life."
She continued, "When you get to a point where you think that you've learned the lessons, and then it blows up in your face again, you realize, 'Okay, I haven't, so what is it that I need to look at right now?' I would say never stop looking inward because it's so easy to blame everybody else."
For Jennifer—who shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony—it's important to be comfortable with yourself before being with someone else.
"You have to be healthy," the Hustlers star noted. "You have to be complete, if you want something that's more complete. You have to be good on your own. I thought I learned that, but I didn't. And then, this summer, I had to be like, 'I need to go off and be on my own. I want to prove to myself that I can do that.'"
And just because it isn't easy doesn't mean it's not worth the work.
"It feels lonely, unfamiliar, scary," she reflected. "It feels sad. It feels desperate. But when you sit in those feelings and go, 'These things are not going to kill me,' it's like actually, I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself."
"Being in a relationship doesn't define me," Jennifer added. "I can't be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself. I used to say I'm a happy person, but was still looking for something for somebody else to fill, and it's just like, 'No, I'm actually good.'"
